Your buying experience at Summit Motor Company.

Thank you for choosing Summit Motor Company for your recent vehicle purchase. Your salesperson worked hard to guide you through an important decision. This page explains how manufacturer feedback can affect that person and gives you a direct way to reach the team before the official survey arrives.

The math

Why an "8 out of 10" is actually an F.

When your official survey arrives from Example Motors, the grading scale does not work like a school report card.

The industry standard

Most automotive manufacturers score dealerships with a metric called the Customer Satisfaction Index, or CSI.

All-or-nothing

On most corporate brand surveys, any score that is not a perfect 10 out of 10 — or "completely satisfied" — is aggregated as a zero.

The consumer disconnect

To a buyer, an 8 or 9 means "a great experience with room to improve." To the manufacturer, it pulls the average down and reads as a failing grade.

The human impact

The score often follows the salesperson.

Your salesperson may have spent hours finding the right vehicle, coordinating your delivery, and answering questions. Yet the survey can hold that person responsible for much more than their own service at Summit Motor Company.

Some issues are outside their control

Vehicle pricing, document fees, inventory shortages, factory delays, and finance-office policies may affect your experience even though your salesperson did not set or control them.

The impact is personal

A well-meant 8 or 9 can lower a salesperson's survey average and may affect bonuses, income, recognition, or even their standing at work.

Best practices

How to share your honest feedback accurately.

We believe in 100% honest feedback. These industry insights simply help make sure your true sentiment is recorded by the right party.

Describe the issue precisely

If your concern involves a factory defect, pricing, paperwork, transit, or another part of the process, explain it clearly in the written comments so the right people understand what happened.

Call first, survey second

If something is unresolved, contact Summit Motor Company directly before you submit. Dealerships are highly motivated to fix problems when given the chance.

Name your champions

If someone treated you with patience, honesty, or exceptional care, naming them in your comments makes sure their effort is seen.
